Sewer Services

The City of Lansing Sewer Division employees are responsible for cleaning, repairing and inspecting the sewer system owned by the City of Lansing. Personnel are out Monday through Friday all year round cleaning and repairing these systems, with exception of the winter months, when they could be involved in snow removal.

Lansing's sanitary sewer service area spans 27,000 acres with roughly 850 miles of sewer and 15,000 manholes. The service area includes The City of Lansing, Lansing Township, and portions of Delta, Windsor, Delhi and Dewitt Townships.

Lansing's Storm Sewer system which is restricted to the City of Lansing only is comprised of roughly 350 miles of sewer and 14,000 catch basins.

There is also an on-call person available 24hours a day that responds to complaints involving the sewer systems. They can be reached at 483-4161.

Street Services
