If you're tired of carrying change for City of Lansing parking meters and need a "cashless" way to pay for on-street parking, Lansing's Cashkey is just what you've been looking for.
Stop by Lansing's Transportation and Parking Office, and for a one-time deposit of $15 and a minimum purchase of $15 in parking meter time, you'll receive your own Cashkey.
The Cashkey can be stored on your key ring, in your vehicle or in lots of other convenient places, and works much like a debit card.To add time to any City of Lansing parking meter, just insert the key into the meter. 25 is deducted from your balance with each insertion.
If your Cashkey runs low or runs out, simply stop by the Transportation and Parking Office to add as much time as you need. Cashkeys can also be used in combination with coins and tokens.
Moving? No problem! Just return your Cashkey to the Transportation and Parking Office. We'll mail you a check for the remaining balance, and your deposit if the key is returned undamaged.
