City of Lansing is in partnership with the area's Non-Profit Housing Corporations in providing programs that allow low and moderate income households to buy their own home.
The City provides funding and technical assistance in support of the following programs.
Homeownership Initiative
Rehabilitation/Purchase Program
The City works with nonprofit housing corporations to acquire vacant residential structures that are rehabilitated and sold to income eligible families. The income eligibility requirements are the same as those for the Single Family Rehabilitation Programs.
