Lansing-built
Cadillac CTS Wins 2008 Motor Trend Car of the Year
The accolades keep pouring in for the all-new, Lansing-built
Cadillac CTS, winner of the 2008 Motor Trend Car of the Year
Award. A testament to the strong partnership between General
Motors' management and Lansing's second-to-none UAW workforce,
the 2008 CTS marks the return of the Cadillac brand to the
pinnacle of the global luxury car market.
Governor Jennifer Granholm, Mayor Bernero, State Sen. Gretchen
Whitmer and State Rep. Joan Bauer (not pictured) recently
joined Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant Manager Bob Glass
and the UAW 652 CTS production team to celebrate the 2008
Motor Trend Car of the Year Award.
Mayor Virg Bernero recently announced The Lenawee, a $60 million, 12-story retail and commercial building planned for the former YMCA site in downtown Lansing.
