Property Tax Information
Welcome to the City of Lansing Property Tax Information Center. To help you understand how to use the information on this page, you need to know there are two types of property tax: Real and Personal. Home owners are typically responsible for real property tax while business owners located in Lansing can be responsible for real and personal property tax.
Property taxes are determined by multiplying the taxable value of the property by the millage rates and any special assessments, recycling fee and/or any miscellaneous charges. From there add 1% for the administration fee.
